William  Edwin Baxter.

Small Title

BRIEF BIOGRAPHY (from Facebook Page):

I am a Self Advocate. I was born developmentally disabled (and with Tourette Syndrome) on October 11, 1954. I pretty much lived a very troubled life in the 1960's, where I was misunderstood by many and was treated like an outcast. Later, when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior in the Early 1970's, my life was changed forever. This story was published in detail in VOICE Magazine (put out by Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International) in September 1987. The title of the article/testimony was "There's Weirdo!" I am also co author of "Old Testament Bible Puzzles, New Testament Bible Puzzles," and "Life of Jesus Bible Puzzles (Summer 1990 while living in Orange, California)."

One of my favorite hobbies is Singing. I took voice lessons (mostly from an opera singer) for 10 years off and on from 1982 to around 1992. I sang with the Orange County Master Chorale for 3 years from 1984 through to 1987. I did sing in one opera: "Amahl and the Night Visitors" at the Orange County Performing Arts Center/Segerstrom Hall in December 1986. I sang the National Anthem for Professional Sporting Events from Summer 2005 to 2011--Minor League Baseball and the NBA Development League (Facebook Page Picture). Today, I like to do Folk Singing Concerts at Senior Homes.

Another major hobby is that I am a Long time Member of Toastmasters International (Over 20 years-and a DTM). I sang the National Anthem for several Toastmasters Speech Contests off and on throughout the 1990's, before singing the National Anthem at Minor League Sporting Events. I have had some considerable success with singing and Toastmasters International, and I have gotten a lot of enjoyment from both of them; but, they are just hobbies, not my livelihood.

As far as my occupation(s), in the past, I have been employed by companies and Christian Organizations like World Vision Inc; Wycliffe Bible Translators, Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International, and St. Jude Heritage Medical Group (Sisters of St. Joseph). Today, my current occupation is working for Service Source which is a company which hires people with disabilities and is contracted by the U.S. Army out at Fort Carson in Colorado (Civilian Contract Worker). I retired at Age 66 on October 11, 2020, but I still serve my country two days per week.

I lived most of my life in the Anaheim/Orange County Area (1954 to 1970, briefly in 1974, and from 1981 to 2010); but, I did live in the Sacramento Area from 1970 to Summer 1971, and then in the Washington DC Area where I graduated from Thomas S. Wootton High School in 1974. I lived (and attended college) in Fremont, California (San Francisco Bay Area) from 1974 through to 1981. I graduated form California State University East Bay in August 1979. I moved back to Orange County back in February 1981 and lived there until August 2010. I am now finishing up the remainder of my life in Colorado Springs, Colorado (2021 pop. 498,879). I have become a big Fan of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox which later changed its name to the "Rocky Mountain Vibes" a couple of years ago. In recent years, I sang the National Anthem for Colorado Springs soccer team, the "Colorado Springs Switchbacks" a few times.

Also, since moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado; I have become a published children's author of children's storybooks, children's tutorials and ABC books, children's picture books, and children's songbooks. My books were published as eBooks and paperbacks by Kindle Direct Publishing (Amazon.com). My first book was a Treasury  Storybook of short stories ("W.E.B. Tales") which was published an eBook in May 2018, and a paperback in July 2018. I have published over 120 books since then. I am also a Holiday Recorded Artist of a Christmas Mini Album entitled: "Bethlehem! Oh Bethlehem," and a Patriotic Single entitled "American Patriot Medley."
